I’ve always loved hair. I’ve always loved running my hands through people’s hair, braiding it, playing with it and styling it.
In 2012 I took the first step of my professional journey. I enrolled in Preston’s Beauty Academy and had the time of my life learning the skills that would take me on an incredible journey. I met people that I’ll never forget, learned to grow as a stylist, and started to build the foundations that led me to my own business.
I began working at JCPenney, and worked my way up from a Designer to a Master Stylist. It was a wonderful time, and I learned so much while I was there. JCPenney offered me education, work experience, and day to day business knowledge. I built a clientele, made some great friends, and some of them turned into family. I got some amazing opportunities! I grew as a stylist and as a person.
On November 15 in 2018, I took the plunge and opened my own business. I found a a great salon, Hair Central, rented a booth, and JoRay’s Creations was born. The next step of my journey had started. I have continued to build myself so that I can offer the best services possible for my clients. I deeply appreciate everyone that has been with me on the journey; their encouragement and support have meant so much and I couldn’t have done it without them.
